Bangkok
Bangkok fuse together modern skyscrapers, sophisticated commercial centres, fine ancient temples and exotic landscapes. One of the most important attractions of Bangkok is the Great Palace. The palace is a fortified group of buildings where the royal family used to live during two centuries. The building is famous for its large murals and for keeping the Emerald Buda, which is a small statue sculpted in jade and gold. Another building of great interest is the Erawan Sanctuary located in the centre of Bangkok. Thousands of people of different religions pray and do traditional, religious dances in this Sanctuary. Wat Pho is another building of great interest because it is the biggest and oldest building in the city that keeps a colossal, 46 metres tall, gold-plated Buda. What is more, there is marvellous art in Thailand that can be appreciated in the National museum, which is the biggest and most complete museum of the region. However, Bangkok does not only offers ancient art and temples but a dynamic nightlife with a wide offer of pubs, discotheques and clubs. Bangkok is a place of unquestionable richness that will impress every visitor.
