China - India, new destinations

The fact that the global financial crisis is affecting every sector in economy especially international tourism is not anything new. However, it is forecasted a more optimistic scenario by 2010, especially in the Asian-Pacific region. The region is expected to soar with nearly 500 million visitors, generating 4.6 trillion dollars. Among the Asian countries, China and India are the most popular Asian destinations.

A new vision of the Middle East.

Experts affirm that the 2009 will be a rough year for the tourist industry. The International Air Transport Association (IATA) forecasts that the entire industry will lose $2.5 billion approximately. All regions except the US are expected to report larger losses in 2009 than in 2008. The Middle East is expected to have losses of $200 million; nevertheless, many studies suggest the opposite.
